Sony DADC Celebrates New Digital Services

Last night (Nov. 18), Sony DADC kicked off its new line of digital solutions with a party attended by the leading media and entertainment companies at its new facility in Marina Del Rey, Calif.

The company showcased real-time digital tools that it says will help customers get their content into consumers’ hands faster. Sony DADC Digital Services sought input from numerous content companies with insight into today’s global media markets to create a complete end-to-end digital supply chain that meets the full range of industry needs.

The newly-renovated 22,000-square-foot facility joins a global network of 12 facilities and 350 employees dedicated to digital services and their global distribution partners.

Highlights from the party included a welcome by Sony DADC Digital Services president, Michael Frey; demos of the new services; and a five-foot-tall, 3D cake designed by celebrity cake designer, Christopher Garrens, illustrating the evolution of the media industry and its various formats and devices.

“After a lot of hard work it was thrilling to hear the buzz in the room around our solutions,” said Frey. “It’s rewarding to see our customers and partners as excited as we are.”
