Godmother of Silicon Beach Comes to THE Summit

Cameron Kashani is fondly referred to as the “Godmother of Silicon Beach,” and it’s easy to see why.

To date, she’s worked with more than 4,000 entrepreneurs and nearly 700 startups. In 2010 she co-founded the first technology startup and entrepreneurs co-working space in L.A. (Coloft), with alumni including Uber LA, Instacart and Fullscreen. And today’s she helps run a three-month start-up accelerator program called CoAccel, which centers around how improving yourself can improve your business.

On June 14 at the Transforming Home Entertainment (THE) Summit in Los Angeles, Kashani will bring her insights to the Hollywood community specifically, during her keynote presentation “#WEdynamic: Human Acceleration is the New Innovation.” She’ll point out that while the media and entertainment industry is constantly adapting to changing consumer behaviors, it needs to keep the human part of the puzzle at the forefront.

She’ll argue that collaboration, and keeping “human” synonymous with “profit,” help mark the path to success for media and entertainment companies.

Before co-founding CoAccel: The Human Accelerator program earlier this year, Kashani has been an expert speaker for the U.S. Department of State, speaking with foreign audiences worldwide, including in Bahrain (at the Bahraini Business Women Society Exhibition) and in Kuwait. She also works closely with the State Department’s Public Affairs division at the U.S. embassy in Kuwait.

Currently, Kashani serves as an advisor with the Bixel Exchange Accelerator tech program for the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, is the owner of her own startup service Cam Kashani Inc., and is the global facilitator and organizer for Los Angeles Startup Weekend.

Previously, she’s served as community connector for the $250 million fund BCG Digital Ventures, and was founder and CEO of StylePull.

The 2016 THE Summit is produced by the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) and will be sponsored by My Eye Media, Rovi and Deluxe. To register, click here.
