Qumulo Introduces Core Data-Aware Scale-Out File, Object Storage Software on Third Party Server Hardware (MESA)

Qumulo is introducing the availability of Qumulo Core scale-out file and object storage software on Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Apollo servers, providing enterprises in media and entertainment, life and earth sciences, telecommunications, cable, automotive and R&D organizations unprecedented choice and flexibility for storing and managing billions of files and objects. Qumulo has also joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE)’s OEM Partner Program. Earlier today, Qumulo showcased continued company momentum, doubling customer acquisition count, more than doubling bookings and continuous product innovation with the announcement of Qumulo Core 2.5.

With this new partnership, Qumulo Core is available on HPE Apollo servers, offering flexibility for enterprise customers that want next-generation scale-out file and object storage software on-premises or private cloud workloads. Built for the highest levels of performance, capacity and efficiency, Qumulo Core on HPE Apollo servers is a future-proof solution for storing and managing hundreds of petabytes and tens of billions of files and objects, providing complete data-awareness of data footprint at extreme scale.

Qumulo Core available on HPE Apollo servers extends flexibility for customers adding a 2U option alongside Qumulo’s QC-Series 1U and 4U commodity hardware appliances. With a starting capacity of 180TB raw per node, the HPE Apollo servers provide a denser footprint than existing QC-Series appliances.

Qumulo Core on HPE Apollo servers is the first commodity hardware platform option on the Qumulo Hardware Compatibility List (HCL). Qumulo Core’s support on additional hardware configurations from HPE will be made available in the first half of 2017. The HPE OEM Partner Program and availability of Qumulo Core on HPE Apollo servers enable Qumulo to focus more resources on software innovation, in order to bring products to market faster.
