Wazee Launches Digital Media Hub

Cloud-native video management company Wazee Digital is launching a new service geared toward broadcasters, one that allows them to capture live video moments and immediately integrate them live into broadcasts.

The Wazee Digital Media Hub web portal also allows host broadcasters to use what they capture for syndication down the line and for other publishing purposes.

“During live events, properties need to be able to distribute iconic moments to various stakeholders in real time in order to boost coverage of the event and share content. But for partners, the process of acquiring the content is inefficient at best, and access and distribution are hampered by the need for media credentials. That’s why we created Digital Media Hub,” said Mike Arthur, VP of sports and live events at Wazee Digital.

The Hub serves as a central access point for to users acquire and distribute media recorded from live events, and unlike FTP sites or similar file-hosting services, the service offers broadcasters administration and permission capabilities to give stakeholders immediate access to secure, broadcast-quality content. Preview capabilities, searchable metadata, and one-click downloading are all included. Wazee believes its service gives broadcast partners easier access to “previously unattainable content,” including interviews, highlights, transcripts and photos, to help immediately enhance local coverage of events.

“Its value lies in its ability to capture content once and share it with many,” Arthur said. “Whether you’re granting access to internal stakeholders, global broadcast partners, or corporate sponsors, Digital Media Hub provides a single avenue for hosts to secure and distribute their content in a process that’s easier for everyone. This combination of functionality is not available anywhere else.”

Digital Media Hub includes reporting tools, allowing broadcasters to track who downloaded what content and when, and users who employ it for live events have access to a Wazee Digital team that will manage uploads, metadata and user support.
