Evolution Digital Deploys eVUE-TV with Seven Additional NCTC Member Operators (MESA)

Evolution Digital today announced the deployment of its fully-managed eVUE-TV™ IP Video on Demand Solution with seven additional member operators in the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC). The seven operators deploying eVUE-TV on the NCTC’s VU-IT!™ platform include Docomo Pacific, Antietam Communications, Frankfort Plant Board, Orbitel Communications, Easton Utilities, MTC Cable and Wyandotte Cable TV.

In July 2016, Evolution Digital signed an agreement with NCTC to distribute eVUE-TV as an option to members that operate under NCTC’s VU-IT! platform, a solution for back office integration, OTT apps and TiVo® user interface and functionalities.

Operators can integrate eVUE-TV to deliver IP Video on Demand content to their customers. eVUE-TV plans to add capabilities including the delivery of IP linear channels, network DVR and TV Everywhere functionalities.

“We are pleased to add these seven NCTC operators to the rapidly growing list of providers deploying eVUE-TV,” said Marc Cohen, executive vice president of sales. “eVUE-TV is a best of breed solution that empowers operators to cost-effectively integrate a more complete line-up of IP video content while helping the operator begin the transition to full IP distribution. eVUE-TV not only delivers the programming that consumers want, but also enables a more compelling viewing experience with enhanced functionalities and features.”

In total, fourteen operators now deploy Evolution Digital’s eVUE-TV platform to customers nationwide. Additional operators previously announced include WOW!, Blue Stream, Vast Broadband, Click!, Westman Communications, Fidelity and Hiawatha/HTC. Evolution Digital’s eVUE-TV on the VU-IT! platform enables cable operators to innovate with TiVo’s world-renowned features and capabilities. The VU-IT! solution is available on the highly-acclaimed Evolution Digital’s eBOX™ IP Hybrid Set-Top Box and other third-party hardware.
