FilmTrack Delivers Wavelength Content Exchange Platform for New York’s WNET

Contract, rights, and royalties management solution specialists FilmTrack is celebrating a new endeavor with WNET, a flagship PBS station in New York, with FilmTrack developing a content management exchange portal, dubbed Wavelength.

Featuring both backend functionality and user-friendly front-end capabilities, the new service — built on FilmTrack’s technology — is geared toward helping public broadcasting stations collect and share content, enabling them to expand programming.

“The Wavelength project was exciting, as it allowed WNET to import and consume data in ways that pushed the envelope,” said Yoni Oettinger, director of implementation for FilmTrack. “The success of the project was heavily reliant on constant collaboration. In doing so, we were able to design and implement a framework for WNET to efficiently share content.”

FilmTrack helped WNET with Wavelength in anticipation of the station’s series “The Vietnam War,” supplying a B2B digital content sharing platform that allows for the seamless sharing of content anywhere, serving as a centralized hub for the sharing, previewing and downloading of content using the cloud.

“In working with us to build Wavelength, FilmTrack helped WNET reach an ongoing organizational goal: to provide robust digital capabilities that foster content sharing and collaboration between public media stations nationwide,” said Diane Masciale, VP and GM of WLIW/WNET.
