Chesapeake Systems Acquires StorExcel (MESA)

Chesapeake Systems April 23 announced it has acquired premier systems integrator StorExcel. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The combined media tech providers will serve both media and entertainment and government markets with turnkey, end-to-end asset management and workflow design solutions and support.

StorExcel’s Colorado and Virginia teams will be integrated with existing Chesapeake teams in Baltimore, New York, Los Angeles, and D.C.

Founded in Denver in 2011, StorExcel, the company has long specialized in media asset management and storage platform integration for postproduction, broadcast, sports and the U.S. government. StorExcel founder Lance Hukill will continue on in a sales roll with Chesapeake,
