ORock Technologies Unveils Cloud Storage as a Service Solutions (MESA)

Hybrid-cloud solutions provider ORock Technologies has unveiled a new suite of Cloud Storage as a Service solutions for commercial organizations and government agencies.

Developed with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) using GreenLake — HPE’s IT-as-a-service offering — ORock’s new solution allows for the deployment of secure and high-performing infrastructure and storage solutions, while providing instant accessibility to data at all times.

“By utilizing the most secure hardware from HPE and controlling our private backbone network from end to end, ORock delivers what enterprises value most in cloud storage: security, reliability, scalability, performance, and predicable costs,” said Gregory Hrncir, co-founder and CEO of ORock. “Organizations no longer need to feel locked into a specific storage vendor or worry about unexpected data egress fees when they access their data.”

ORock said that it’s OPEX-based pricing models will not charge for data ingress or egress, allowing customers to access and use stored data without cost calculations or unpredictable bills, and that it’s object and block storage offerings offer the capability to integrate compute functionality, enabling backup, disaster recovery and analytics use cases.
