Whip Media, ZOO Digital Partner Up

Enterprise platform specialists Whip Media Group and localisation firm ZOO Digital have announced a strategic supply chain partnership, with the latter integrating with Whip Media’s Content Value Management (CVM) platform to provide subtitling and dubbing services to clients who license their content worldwide.

The partnership will see ZOO provide subtitling and dubbing to Whip Media’s global M&E clients, removing distribution friction and simplifying the process of managing multiple vendors, the companies said.

“We are very excited to partner with a company so closely aligned with our own digital strategy. We quickly identified a seamless workflow with Whip Media which will provide full transparency on localisation order management for their global client portfolio,” said Mazin Al-Jumaili, director of EMEA business development for ZOO Digital. “As worldwide OTT platforms build momentum in local content publishing, both companies are perfectly positioned to offer a global supply chain solution.”

ZOO Digital currently localises content in more than 80 languages and all distribution formats, with a worldwide network of more than 7,200 native translators using the ZOO cloud-based platform to translate and deliver high-quality subtitles and captions. ZOO Digital has produced more than 360 million subtitle files for the entertainment industry to date, and during the pandemic, ZOO Digital’s dubbing network has been utilised by producers where in-studio talent has not been an option.

“As the amount of streaming content available has grown and spread to more global markets, so has the need for multilingual subtitle and dubbing services to bring TV shows and movies to audiences in more languages faster,” said Cory Sher, VP of global sales and business development for Whip Media Group. “We’re thrilled to partner with ZOO Digital and provide to our clients the ability to more efficiently localise their new and catalogue content and grow their audiences worldwide.”
