MESA Members Win Big at NAB Show Product of the Year Awards

Seven members of MESA took home honors from the annual NAB Show Product of the Year Awards, handed out Oct. 20 during the NAB Show New York digital experience.

The awards are given to vendors and hardware companies who make breakthrough products for the broadcast industry. New this year, winners were comprised of exhibiting companies from both the digital NAB Show held earlier in the year and this month’s NAB Show New York.

Winners included:

• Cameras: Sony Electronics for its compact SRG cameras (SRG-XB25 & SRG-XP1).

• Display Systems: Sony Electronics for its PVM-X series monitors (PVM-X1800 and PVM-X2400).

• AI/Machine Learning: Digital Nirvana for its Trance product.

• Streaming: Synamedia for its Synamedia VN Cloud offering.

• Video Transport: Zixi for Zixi Software-Defined Video Platform.

“Zixi had yet another record-breaking quarter this year, and we are pleased with the industry recognition our platform continues to receive” said Gordon Brooks, executive chairman and CEO of Zixi. “These recent accolades confirm that in order to orchestrate and maintain control over increasingly complex broadcast media workflows, there is no substitute for the SDVP.”

• Asset Management, Automation, Playout: 5th Kind for its CORE service.“We are ecstatic to receive this award,” said 5th Kind CEO and founder Steve Cronan. “It acknowledges the achievements we’ve made this year by pivoting our focus to remote workflows for production, and collaborating with partners and clients to create tools they most need right now.”

• IT Networking/Infrastructure & Security: Irdeto for its forensic watermarking on a major cloud service.

“This award further strengthens our leading position in the cybersecurity industry and a trusted partner of choice,” said Steeve Huin, chief marketing officer at Irdeto.

• Audio Production, Processing and Networking: Deluxe Entertainment Services Group for One Dub.

• Remote Production: Deluxe Entertainment Services Group for One Dub.
