Splunk to Highlight ‘Data to Everything’ Security at Dec. 8 CPS Event

With traditional modes of content creation and delivery upended, and an increasing reliance on real-time data to understand viewer interests, planning ahead on keeping that data secure has become more important — and challenging — than ever before.

Enter the data specialists at Splunk and the company’s Data to Everything platform, with media organizations big and small leveraging the service to secure their operations, data, content, and more. Splunk’s Andrew Keating, director of industry marketing, and Beverly Smart, industry marketing, communications, media and technology, will be on hand at the Dec. 8 virtual Content Protection Summit to share what the company offers in the presentation “Securing Next Generation Content Delivery with Splunk.”

“Attendees can expect an overview and introduction to Splunk’s Data to Everything platform, as well as an elaboration on the ways that data is increasingly important for media organizations and why having a data strategy and data platform is essential. We’ll also highlight some of the ways that media organizations of all sizes are leveraging Splunk to secure their operations, data, content, and more,” Keating said.

This session will look at some of the ways Splunk has helped media customers cope with additional challenges brought on by COVID-19 and the rapid shift to remote work, which has increased the risk for potential incidents, compromised systems, and more.

“In a brief session, we hope attendees will see some things that capture their interest and spark further ‘deep dive’ type conversations,” Keating said. “There are some actionable insights that attendees could implement immediately (and at no cost) to help their organizations right away.”

Presented by Microsoft Azure, the event is sponsored by SHIFT, Genpact, Akamai, Convergent Risks, Friend MTS, GeoGuard, PacketFabric, Palo Alto Networks, Richey May Technology Solutions, Splunk, Zixi, Cyberhaven, EIDR and Xcapism Learning.

The Content Protection Summit is produced by MESA, CDSA, the Hollywood IT Society (HITS) and Women in Technology Hollywood (WiTH), under the direction of the CDSA Board of Directors and content advisors representing Amazon Studios, Adobe, Paramount, BBC Studios, NBCUniversal, Lionsgate, WarnerMedia, Amblin Entertainment, Legendary Pictures, and Lego Group.
