HITS Advisory Services Introduced in Jan. 26 Virtual Event

In the midst of the pandemic, media and entertainment has been afforded a unique opportunity: the chance to transform IT to a global scale, taking cues from other industries to align an IT services model that results in increased speed and efficiencies across organisations.

During the Jan. 26 event “HITS Advisory Services: Optimising the M&E Industry for Scale” attendees will be introduced to the new offering, which offers studios and vendors alike a no-cost avenue to learn from high-level consultants about new technologies that offer real-time visibility into how best to deliver the next generation of entertainment experiences.

“You may have just one question and you need it answered now,” said Guy Finley, president of MESA, which runs the Hollywood IT Society (HITS). “What HITS Advisory Services offers is to bring other industry models into media and entertainment and introduce it in a way that’s collaborative, and offers solutions, around taking our streaming services and backend office challenges and make them more economical because they’re being addressed at scale.”

Along with technology snapshots and a look at the Pathfinder visibility tool by Drew Lydecker, co-founder and president of AVANT Communications — who will also look at how M&E can achieve such large, global scale — attendees will be treated to a performance by engineer-turned-comedian Don McMillan, a top-rated stand-up artist with a master’s in electrical engineering.
