MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: Jan. 25-29

Akamai will offer its latest insights into content piracy and distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, Adobe will share its latest paperless progress report, and the media and entertainment world will get its first look at the IT-centred HITS Advisory Services offering from MESA.

Those are just a few of the online events from the MESA community the week of Jan. 25-29, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Tuesday:

• Akamai’s top analysts and strategists will come together for the webinar “Marshalling Your Forces to Fight Piracy,” a look at the most recent technical developments in the fight against video piracy, and a glimpse at how the industry is starting to turn the tide.

• “Building a Complete, On-Prem Object Storage Solution” will see experts from Caringo and Fujifilm discuss how to build a complete, on-prem object storage solution with Caringo Swarm and Fujifilm Object Archive, perfect for cold-archiving use cases.

• MESA’s brand new endeavour, HITS Advisory Services, will be introduced during a live virtual event, “HITS Advisory Services: Optimising the M&E Industry for Scale,” where attendees will hear how studios and vendors alike can access a no-cost avenue to learn from high-level consultants about new technologies that offer real-time visibility into how best to deliver the next generation of entertainment experiences.

Along with technology snapshots and a look at the Pathfinder visibility tool by Drew Lydecker, co-founder and president of AVANT Communications — who will also look at how M&E can achieve such large, global scale — attendees will be treated to a performance by engineer-turned-comedian Don McMillan, a top-rated stand-up artist with a master’s in electrical engineering.

Wednesday:

• Akamai is back at it again with the webinar “DDoS and How It Differs from Other Cyber-attacks?” where attendees will hear about what makes DDoS different from other cyberattacks, what platform defence options are in the market today, and the role cloud plays in DDoS defence?

• It’s a remote-everything world today, and Adobe’s latest thoughts on making paperless services both accessible and secure will be discussed during the webinar “Remote Online Notarisation Keeps Business Moving.”
