NYT Best-Seller, State Dept. Tech Advisor to Deliver Feb. 25 CWMF Keynote

Alec Ross, the New York Times best-selling author and former senior advisor for technology and innovation at the U.S. State Department, has been announced as the keynote speaker for the Feb. 25 Content Workflow Management Forum, “M&E’s Premiere Localisation Event.”

His keynote — “Industries of the Future: The Technological & Economic Trends That Will Shape the Next 10 Years” — will draw on his book “The Industries of the Future,” and will see him outlining the next significant drivers of change for media and entertainment, from artificial intelligence and robotics, to cybersecurity and cybercrime, Ross describes how the changes in these industries impact the future.

Ross will go beyond the technical and provide the geopolitical, cultural, and generational contexts from which innovations are emerging.

Considered among America’s leading experts on innovation, Ross offers a practical analysis of which industries are going to shake up the marketplace, and how, drawing on his world-travel experience as senior advisor for innovation to the secretary of state, where he explored the latest advances coming out of every continent.

“The Industries of the Future” covers the above topics, as well as the next steps for big data, and the impacts of digital technology on markets. Since its publication in early 2016, the book has been published in 24 languages and become a best seller on four continents.

The Content Workflow Management Forum is produced by MESA, the Smart Content Council, and the Hollywood IT Society, with sponsorship by Whip Media Group, Iyuno Media Group, Deluxe, Digital Nirvana, Meta, OOONA, Vubiquity, Nexus TV, Titles-On, EIDR, Keywords Studios and Signiant.
