Whip Media Explores Data-Centric Licensing at March 16 SCS

At the March 16 Smart Content Summit event, Sherry Brennan, EVP and GM of content licensing for Whip Media Group, will share insights into how the shift to direct-to-consumer doesn’t have to be daunting for content licensing.

The presentation — “Supercharge Your Licensing: The Race From a Content-Centric to Consumer-Centric Strategy” — will tackle how from OTT and Direct-to-Consumer, and from licensing to distribution, the entertainment ecosystem has shifted, and will look at how licensing used to be much simpler, with fairly strict windowing and fewer platforms.

In order to remain competitive today, M&E companies need a flexible, data-fed, insights-driven licensing solution, one that links consumer behavior with content licensing. Decisions need to be made across multiple platforms with metrics that go beyond basic volume, that allow you to predict how your content will perform on the right platform that targets the right audience.

Maybe most importantly, companies need to garner data-driven analytics based on real-world viewing and usage data, automate and streamline content licensing, and feed buyers and sellers in one centralized platform. Brennan and Whip Media will show that can be done.

The Smart Content Summit is produced by MESA and the Smart Content Council, and is sponsored by Microsoft Azure, Whip Media Group, Richey May Technology Solutions, BeBanjo, Digital Nirvana, Softtek, 24Notion, EIDR, The Quorum and Signiant.
