MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: April 12-16

Zixi kicks off 10 days of “Virtual Showcase” presentations, Adobe talks about the benefits of artificial intelligence and machine learning for content, and EIDR holds its Annual Participant Meeting, covering the latest with the group and what’s next.

Those are just a few of the online events from the MESA community the week of April 12-16, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Tuesday:

• At the April 13 EIDR Annual Participant Meeting speakers and attendees will discuss  adoption of EIDR across enterprises and streaming platforms, and learn about EIDR’s progress toward ubiquitous coverage, new adoption paths, and user engagement.

Studios, streaming giants, EIDR’s board and more will be on hand to celebrate what EIDR has accomplished to date, and what’s on the horizon. To register for the event, click here.

• Zixi kicks off its Zixi Delivers Virtual Showcase series with “From Satellite to IP” case study. Zixi CEO Gordon Brooks and Music Choice’s SVP Engineering and Operations Michael McCrackan will talk through a real-world case study of the switch from satellite to primary distribution over IP using the SDVP and its flexible infrastructure to deliver broadcast quality video over IP networks securely, reliably and cost-effectively at scale.

• In the webinar “Don’t Search, Find: Enrich Your Content with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence,” Chad Dybdahl, solutions consultant for Adobe, will discuss how you can leverage Adobe Sensei to automatically tag and categorise DITA content, enriching the end-user experience, and ultimately ensuring that customers can find the content they need.

Wednesday:

• The Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) holds its AMIA Spring 2021 conference, running April 14-16, featuring a host of archiving and digitisation presentation. MESA members can receive 20 percent off admission by registering here with the code SP21-MESA.

• MicroStrategy hosts the webinar “Maximising the Value of Enterprise Data with Cox Automotive,” with MicroStrategy president and CFO Phong Le continuing a series of ongoing discussions with leading executives from across diverse industries. This one will feature an in-depth discussion with Mayank Srivastava, senior director of data engineering at Cox Automotive.

• Zixi hosts the discussion “A Brave New World: The Future of Live Streaming in the Software-Defined Era,” with Zixi CEO Gordon Brooks and Joe Zaller, founder of Devoncroft Partners, taking the stage

Thursday:

• “What’s New in MicroStrategy 2021” has a panel of experts sharing what’s new in MicroStrategy this year for business users, analysts, and architects.

• Box hosts its “Content Cloud Summit” with a focus on the company’s Content Cloud, a secure platform for your entire content journey. Hear Box’s vision, see live demos, and explore new capabilities like integrated e-signature and faster content migration.

• Zendesk hosts the presentation “A CX Moment with Calm,” featuring Sarah Reed senior director of content and event marketing for Zendesk, and Frances Brittingham manager, customer experience, for Calm.
