MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: May 24-28

GeoGuard hosts a panel around protecting territorially-restricted content from geolocation fraud, Wasabi CEO David Friend takes part in a discussion on the importance of data storage in your cloud strategy, and Veritone joins a conversation around improving the content licensing experience with the co-hosts of “CBS This Morning: Saturday,”

Those are just a few of the online events from the MESA community the week of May 24-28, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Tuesday:

• BuyDRM hosts the webinar “Deploying KeyOS with Flussonic Server” where attendees will hear more about Flussonic’s integration with BuyDRM’s KeyOS Multi-DRM platform.

• “A Peek Inside the Vault” will be presented by CBS News Archives and Veritone, with Michelle Miller and Anthony Mason, co-hosts of “CBS This Morning: Saturday,” Erin Moriarty, correspondent for
“48 Hours,” Maggie Dakin, director of archive sales for CBS News Archive, and Jay Bailey, VP of TV, film and documentary licensing for Veritone, all discussing improvements to the content licensing experience.

• Adobe hosts the webinar “Decoding the Alphabet Soup of Graphic Formats” where attendees will be treated to a 15-minute hands-on workshop with a live Q&A, and learn how to apply transparency effects in Photoshop that will improve presentation skills, while also exploring different graphic export and optimisation settings.

Wednesday:

• GeoGuard hosts the panel webinar “Protecting Territorially-Restricted Content From Geolocation Fraud and Geo-Piracy,” with representatives from beIN Media Group, WarnerMedia, GeoComply and Piracy Monitor. The focus will centre on the surge in VPN and proxy usage to bypass territorial restrictions on content, and how rightsholders and streaming video providers that rely on territorial exclusivity for their revenues can combat the problem.

• Representatives from Box and Microsoft come together for the “New Integrations with Your Favourite Microsoft 365 Apps” presentation, showing off how Box for Microsoft Office powers productivity across platforms and devices, how Box Connector for Microsoft Graph surfaces content across the Microsoft ecosystem, and how Box integrations with Microsoft Teams enables access Box content directly within channels and chats.

Thursday:

• Wasabi CEO David Friend and David Boland, director of product marketing, will discuss how to leverage a data storage infrastructure to be globally accessible, consistent and compatible, in the webinar “The Role of Cloud Data Storage in Second Generation Multi-Cloud Strategy.”
