Terrorism, Cybersecurity Expert Clint Watts to Keynote 29 June CPS EU Event

Clint Watts, senior fellow at the Centre for Cyber and Homeland Security at George Washington University, a Foreign Policy Research Institute fellow, and a national security contributor for NBC News and MSNBC, has been announced as the keynote speaker at the 29th June Content Protection Summit Europe (CPS EU) event.

Watts will bring his extensive knowledge around terrorism, counter-terrorism, social media influence, and Russian dis-information to the stage to discuss how countries, corporations and citizens alike can survive in today’s social media world, where hackers and authoritarians are a constant presence.

An author, former special agent for the FBI and its Joint Terrorism Task Force, and consultant for the FBI’s Counter-terrorism Division National Security Branch, and former executive officer of the Combating Terrorism Centre at the United States Military Academy at West Point, Watts will take a deep dive into the new world of social media during his keynote address, and how cybersecurity must constantly adapt to keep pace with new challenges.

Watts is credited with discovering the coordinated social media propaganda campaign via Russia in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, and has written articles for The New York Times, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The Daily Beast, Politico, Lawfare, War on the Rocks, World Politics Review, and Huffington Post.

Content Protection Summit Europe is presented by Convergent Risks, with sponsorship by Richey May Technology Solutions, Synamedia, BuyDRM, Friend MTS, NAGRA, and X Cyber Group.
