CPS EU: BuyDRM Brings Just-in-Time Watermarking Insights

At the June 29 Content Protection Summit Europe (CPS EU) event, Christopher Levy, CEO and founder of DRM and content security services provider BuyDRM, will share how forensic just-in-time (JIT) watermarking has become more useful today than ever before.

His presentation — “Every Stream Unique: The Rise of Just-in-Time Watermarking with Consumer DRM for OTT Streaming” — will share how studios have used forensic JIT watermarking to protect premium pre-release content, throughout the production lifecycle as a B2B offering, for decades now. Now, JIT forensic watermarking with DRM can be used in a B2C environment for OTT streaming applications, all to help reduce piracy.

“Attendees can expect to learn best practices for protecting content throughout the entire lifecycle of the content distribution scheme with the use of just-in-time watermarking in conjunction with DRM,” Levy said. “This technology was previously used solely for pre-release content but because of its effectiveness at eliminating piracy, it’s now being deployed for OTT streaming for AVOD, PVOD, SVOD and live PPV. Learn where gaps within the lifecycle of B2B and B2C distribution can make content vulnerable to piracy and the importance of a holistic approach to securing content.”

Content Protection Summit Europe is presented by Convergent Risks, with sponsorship by Richey May Technology Solutions, Synamedia, BuyDRM, Friend MTS, NAGRA, X Cyber Group and Xcapism Learning. The event is produced by MESA, the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA), the Hollywood IT Society (HITS) and Women in Technology Hollywood (WiTH), under the direction of the CDSA board of directors and content advisors representing Amazon Studios, Adobe, Paramount, BBC Studios, NBCUniversal, Lionsgate, WarnerMedia, Amblin Entertainment, Legendary Pictures, and Lego Group.
