MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: July 26-30

Sony hosts its online AV Tech Expo 2021, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) presents a series of presentations in its ongoing July Online Tech Talks.

Those are just a few of the online events from the MESA community the week of July 26-30, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Monday:

• AWS hosts a pair of Online Tech Talk presentations. First up is “Transform Your Bug Bashes into an AWS BugBust,” featuring Vishnu Parimi, principal product manager for AWS. Next is “Making Machine Learning Predictions Easily Accessible to Business Teams,” with Matt Osius, principal product manager, and Arun Santhosh, Sr. QuickSight specialist SA for AWS.

Tuesday:

• Running July 27-28, Sony’s AV Tech Expo will unveil solutions to meet the challenges presented by today’s audio-visual applications. Attendees will learn about unrivalled AV technologies, including Sony’s BRAVIA Pro displays, Crystal LED Video walls, remote cameras, Edge Video Analytics and Beamforming Ceiling Microphone. Thought leadership panels will explore industry trends centred around AV and digital signage, and attendees will be able to network with industry peers, members of the Sony team, and Digital Signage Alliance Partners.

• A trio of AWS presentations are on tap. “Save up to 70% on Your Machine Learning Inference Costs Using Amazon EC2 Inf1” will be hosted by Fabio Nonato de Paula, senior manager solutions architect for AWS, and Yashal Kanungo, applied scientist with Amazon Advertising. ”How to Secure Consumer IoT Products and Their Data at Scale” will feature David Walters, senior partner SA with AWS IoT. And “Amazon SageMaker for Media and Entertainment Use Cases” will be hosted by Amir Imani, AI/ML specialist solutions architect with AWS.

Wednesday:

• “Building a Data Mesh Architecture with AWS Lake Formation” will feature Roy Hasson, principal product manager with AWS Lake Formation, and Nivas Shankar, principal data architect, AWS Professional Service.

Thursday:

• AWS closes the week with three more Online Tech Talks: “Take the Graviton Challenge, Get up to 40% Better Price Performance in EC2” with Arthur Petitpierre, senior specialist solutions architect, AWS. “Achieving High Availability and Durability with Multi-AZ on Amazon RDS” will have Vijay Karumajji, senior database specialist solutions architect for AWS on hand. And “Integrating Web Services and Serverless Applications with your Data Warehouse Using the Redshift Data API” has Manash Deb, senior analytics specialist solutions architect for AWS presenting.
