M+E Connections

MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: Oct. 18-22

Several MESA members take part in the two-day Video Security Summit, Palo Alto Networks looks at security vs. user experience when it comes to working remotely, and MESA welcomes its membership to a new way to connect virtually.

Those are just a few of the online events from the MESA community the week of Oct. 18-Oct. 22, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Tuesday:

• The first-of-its-kind all-digital Video Security Summit exposes the full scope and impact of the piracy problem, bringing together the extended family of anti-piracy allies to illuminate piracy and its solutions.

Each day of this two-day event has six segments over three hours, with Oct. 18 focusing on recognising piracy and going on the offensive against it, and Oct. 19 zeroing in on vulnerabilities, setting up defensive barriers against attacks and harnessing the power of the community to fight it. MESA members Friend MTS, Synamedia, BuyDRM and GeoGuard will all take the stage.

• Zixi CEO Gordon Brooks and Andrew Broadstone, senior director of product management, will offer an overview for the need for AI and ML and advanced technologies in the design of streaming architectures, in order to optimise the quality of transport and service to deliver the quality of content and experience modern consumers demand, in the webinar “Zixi and the Intelligent Data Platform (IDP).”

Wednesday:

• “The Future of Workflow: How Digital-Leading Teams are Innovating in Their Daily Workflows and Business Processes” will see experts from Adobe and Microsoft tackle how teams today need easy-to-use, integrated, and automated workflows — tools that make day-to-day collaboration, communication, document management, approval and e-signature processes fast and intuitive.

Thursday:

• Over the course of the last two years, we’ve spent hours upon hours on video conference calls, from dawn to dusk. The technology has helped us keep the ball rolling during the global pandemic but, let’s face it, video conferencing has its limits.

Say goodbye to Zoom calls and step into internet 2.0: On Oct. 21st, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. PT, MESA invites you to enter the MESAverse, a virtual MESA world where you can watch live presentations, bump into friends (literally), meet new ones, and even step on stage and share your thoughts.

• Remote working is here to stay … and if you haven’t already, you better secure against it and ensure end-user experiences aren’t compromised. Jason Georgi, global field CTO for Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma Access, will discuss how you can accomplish that in the presentation “Mobile Worker Security or User Experience – How About Both?”

• “CX Discoveries: Decoding Customer Service” has Zendesk experts and analysts sharing results of a global survey, looking at the stages of CX maturity, and the pathways to CX success.

• Users of Box’s Content Cloud can already attest to how it empowers teams to collaborate on content in real time across any device, location, and time zone, without sacrificing security and compliance. In the webinar “Unleash Your Content’s Potential with New Authoring and Workflow Tools,” Jeff Wiemann, executive director of the Angels Foster Family Network, will take it a step further: using Box’s offering not only streamlined records management and external collaboration, it’s played a vital role in keeping children and families securely connected.
