HITS Spring: Convergent Risks CEO to Share Assessment Tips

At the May 19 Hollywood Innovation and Transformation Summit (HITS), at the Universal Hilton in Los Angeles (and online via MESA’s virtual platform, the MESAverse), Chris Johnson, CEO and president of Convergent Risks, and Janice Pearson, SVP of sales and strategy for XL8.ai, will tackle “The Challenges of Getting Your Solution Security Approved.”
The session is for those who may be spending too much time answering security questionnaires in RFPs and wondering if there’s an easier way, with Johnson walking attendees through the challenges vendors face and the different security assessment modules they can undergo to provide customers with assurance of a proper security posture. These include the new cloud and application security assessment module, personal data privacy compliance, threat assessment testing, ISO and SOC2 readiness.
“As the use of software applications within media and entertainment workflows continues to boom, application security breaches are also on an upward curve,” Johnson said. “In addition to financial risk and trust issues, a security breach can often permanently impact reputation. Conversely by building security into the development and release lifecycle, you can use this to add value to the brand and provide customer confidence during selection and use.”
