Technicolor to Become VANTIVA

Following the late-February spin-off of Technicolor Creative Studios, the remaining Connected Home and physical disc services operations of Technicolor will re-brand into VANTIVA, with new CEO Luis Martinez-Amago taking the reins.

The rebrand is expected to occur before the fourth quarter and will allow VANTIVA to “be able to grow on its own terms and follow its own strategy,” Martinez-Amago said.

“Our customers will benefit from our now exclusive focus on designing and producing the next generation of high-quality customer premises equipment at record speeds while navigating today’s volatile supply chain environment,” he said.

For Technicolor Connected Home operations, VANTIVA will continue to leverage its leadership position in the Android TV and ultra-broadband technology markets and plans to allocate resources to move into markets adjacent to the connected home business. The company’s DVD services operations will be known as VANTIVA Supply Chain Services and will build on its decades-long work in high-precision, submicron-engineering in DVD manufacturing, and leadership in custom packaging and national and international distribution.

“We have evolved these vertical strengths of precision manufacturing, supply chain and fulfilment and freight and distribution; and have developed an exceptionally strong reputation in the market around tailored end-to-end customer solutions for these,” Martinez-Amago said.

The change of the corporate name of Technicolor SA to VANTIVA SA is subject to the approval of shareholders.
