ZOO Korea Upgrades to New Globalisation Production Hub

ZOO Digital announced the launch of its new ZOO Korea production facility. The Seoul-based facility features six state-of-the-art recording booths, three mixing rooms, group recording capability, and four QC bays – all fully integrated with ZOO’s cloud-based production ecosystem.

The expanded production facility follows the successful launch of ZOO Korea, which acts as a hub for globalisation and client collaboration in the SEA region, supporting the continued worldwide popularity and localisation of Korean content.

ZOO Korea is equipped to provide high-quality, secure dubbing, subtitling, QC, mastering and media services, giving entertainment industry clients greater opportunity and scale for globalisation in the region, supporting the continued global demand for Korean content and the distribution of non-Korean titles in the country.

With the additional technical capability, ZOO Korea now offers clients a full-service globalisation offering, giving the biggest names in entertainment a reliable sole supplier of localisation and media services at scale.

Jonghyun Oh, Managing Director, ZOO Korea, commented: “Following the launch of ZOO Korea, the group has seen exceptional growth with exciting projects from the biggest and best global content creators. The latest expansion of ZOO Korea takes things to the next level, opening greater opportunity for content going into and out of the Korean market. The new facility further enhances our capacity to deliver fast, scalable dubbing, subtitling, QC, mastering, and media services for our clients.”

ZOO President, Gordon Doran, added: “ZOO Korea has hit the ground running and made the decision to expand a simple one. We are here to support our clients where they need us, and the demand for globalised Korean content is constant. ZOO Korea now offers a future-focused facility that can accommodate the requirements of our clients, offering an expanded and flexible servicing hub in the region. As with all ZOO Digital production facilities, the set-up offers state-of-the-art equipment, while also benefitting from our cloud-based ecosystem, ensuring rigorous security measures, production efficiencies and connection to an expansive network of in-territory talent.”

The launch of the upgraded Seoul facility continues an ongoing global growth initiative to support the biggest names in entertainment with scalable globalisation services. This initiative has seen facility launches include ZOO Denmark, ZOO Turkey, ZOO India and ZOO Korea within the previous 12 months. ZOO will make further announcements regarding its investments as deals are completed.
