BB Media: UK Ranks No. 2 In Largest Number of Titles at Global Scale

A new report from media and entertainment data firm BB Media finds that the UK is sitting firmly in second place among all nations when it comes to the number of streaming titles available at a global scale.

The streaming availability analysis of the United Kingdom was made across 93 streaming platforms with a total of 193,351 unique titles: 157,507 movies and 35,844 series.

The top three SVOD streaming services according to the number of titles are: Sky Go with 14,207 titles, followed by Amazon Prime Video with 9,484 and Netflix with 7,363.

Sky Go’s most dominant genre is Documentary (24 percent), while the other two streaming platforms have Drama as the predominant one.

When reviewing the SVODs with newest content (titles released less than a year ago) Eurosport Player is ahead of the ranking with 2,820 titles followed by Fanatiz with 1,535 and Netflix with 681.

After monitoring 193,000 titles, BB Media detected that “Diego Maradona” is the most distributed title (available on 18 streaming platforms), “The Babadook” (available on 17 streaming services) and “Spider-Man 2” (available on 17 streaming platforms).

“The Rings of Power,” “Werewolf by Night” and “House of the Dragon”, all productions from the U.S. are the most popular titles on the UK as of November 2022. The UK currently ranks as the second country with the largest number of titles around the globe, followed by Canada and Japan and preceded by the United States.
