MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: Jan. 16-20

Atos offers recommendations around securing identities in the cloud, Wasabi holds a pair of webinars around ransomware and cloud disaster recovery, and Zendesk brings an Olympic gold medalist in to talk New Year’s goals.

Those are just a few of the events from the MESA community the week of Jan. 16-20, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Tuesday:

• In “5 Recommendations to Secure Identities in the Cloud – Webinar,” Atos will discuss how 75 percent of cloud security failures in 2023 will originate from improper management of identities, accesses, and privileges. During this webinar, discover five recommendations from security experts that can be used to provide secure and protected identities when moving to cloud technologies. From the principle of least privilege to the improvement of user experience, these recommendations will provide you with concrete examples to set a robust foundation for securing the cloud and avoiding identities from being compromised.

• Palo Alto Networks’ “Fix the Unknown. Before You Know It” will see attendees hear directly from security experts Tim Junio, Greg Heon and Abhi Anbazhagan as they dive into the evolution of attack surface management (ASM) and ways to reduce the risks of a complex, persistent unmanaged attack surface. They will also unveil Active Attack Surface Management, Palo Alto Networks’ solution to transform and help your organisation reduce the frequency and severity of security incidents. Learn how your teams can now use automation to proactively defend against attacks.

• “No One is Immune from Ransomware: Preventative Strategies for Ransomware Attacks” by Wasabi will walk through the different stages of a ransomware attack and preventative steps to take at every stage of the attack. The ransomware threat has been prevalent for years and organisations have realised that there is no way to be completely immune. It is not a question of if but when your organisation will be faced with a ransomware attack. However, there are protection strategies organisations can implement to be more resilient to ransomware.

Wednesday:

• Alibaba Cloud holds its “Alibaba Cloud Day – The Future of E-Commerce.” The conference will be centred on live-shopping, AI and AR, shared by both Alibaba Cloud and its partner RITZI. Firstly, the best practices of digital and cloud transformation, presented by Alibaba Cloud’s Senior of Cloud Solution Architects DACH, Leiming Zeng. Secondly, Dmitrii Tikhonov the CTO of RITZI, will introduce their SAAS technologies focused on live-shopping, AI and AR. In the webinar, RITZI will demo their live-shopping solutions built on Alibaba’s Apsara Live Technology. On top of that, they will demo artificial intelligence product recognition and augmented reality virtual try-on as well. RITZI is the go-to partner for customer engagement, retention rates, and gamification.

Thursday:

• Zednesk hosts “Setting Goals in 2023 with Olympic Medalist Shannon Miller.” Goal setting: cliché or clever? We’re revisiting resolutions for the new year–and making them work for us. Shannon Miller, one of the most decorated Olympic gymnasts in U.S. history, will discuss how to embrace a gold medal mindset and set intentions that you’ll keep. You’ll leave empowered to make more conscious choices about wellness, boundaries, and work.
