Visual Data Implements OOONA’s Integrated Solution

Localisation services and end-to-end digital media supply chain solutions firm Visual Data has announced it will adopt the integrated platform of professional management and production tools specialist OOONA.

The agreement will help Visual Data — an early adopter of OOONA Tools, which have been integrated into Visual Data’s internal platform for more than four years — optimise its global localisation workflow and scale its language services operations.

By implementing OOONA Integrated, an end-to-end solution combining the full suite of Tools and Management platform, Visual Data will add third-party APIs and supports greater collaboration across its global network of translators and project managers. The newly integrated platform will also give Visual Data the ability to meet the growing demand for globalised content.

“As our industry continues to address the need for highly targeted original and catalogued content tailored to global viewers, Visual Data continues to support clients’ increase in media localisation and language service requirements,” said Simon Constable, SVP of global language services for Visual Data. “OOONA Integrated gives us the ability to meet these needs at scale with confidence that our customers’ content is in a walled garden of cloud-based security, reliability, and innovation. As OOONA continues to invest in this area and advance their product, we look forward to delivering even greater efficiency to our clients.”

OOONA Integrated supports productivity across Visual Data globally, and with thousands of qualified on-boarded language specialists and translators familiar with the OOONA toolkit, it helps the company immediately address key market challenges, including access to talent. Visual Data is a founding member and early adopter of the OOONA POOOL initiative, an independent directory of language professionals offering media localisation services.

Visual Data further reinforces its commitment to advancing the future of media localisation by sponsoring the development of AVTpro, an industry-standard certification for media localisation professionals, supporting them with full accreditation of their language skills.

OOONA Integrated enables advanced project collaboration for efficiency and accuracy. With thousands of onboarded translators, OOONA is one of the most centralised browser and app-based localisation platforms available, providing an ever-evolving ecosystem of tools and resources for translation, subtitling, and captioning.

“We have worked with Visual Data for many years and are excited to expand our collaboration with such a forward-looking company that is entirely dedicated to client success,” said OOONA CEO Wayne Garb. “We have developed a defensive framework by incorporating numerous content security measures into our platform, have passed multiple in-depth security audits with major streaming platforms and content providers, and are ISO 27001 certified.

“Our latest security feature identifies user compromised credentials, allowing our enterprise users to prevent cyberattacks on their systems. Customers like Visual Data are able to maximise these and many other benefits across their global localisation workflow.”
