Ascendion Talks Disruption, Altman Solon Examines AVoIP at May 23 HITS

At the May 23 Hollywood Innovation and Transformation Summit (HITS) at the Culver Theater in Los Angeles, representatives from both Altman Solon and Ascendion will take the stage to examine different corners of technological disruption.
In the panel “Embracing Disruption: Innovating through Economic Turbulence for M+E” Ascendion’s Inna Sheiman, VP and head of media, and Abhishek Verma, strategic accounts, will delve into the role of engineering and share practical and proven strategies for navigating the challenges and opportunities of disruption, and explore how embracing disruption and innovating through economic turbulence can drive success in the media and entertainment industry. They’ll be joined by Camilla Formica, chief program officer for The Cable Center.

In the presentation “How AVoIP Is Giving Viewers the Best Seat in the House” Derek Powell, director of Altman Solon, examines trends and insights from the company’s recent Audio and Video over Internet Protocol (AVoIP) report.

In response, a growing number of broadcasters are turning to AVoIP to meet growing consumer demand for seamless live streaming. In today’s world of rapid technological evolution, broadcasters’ inability to adapt to the changing environment equates to profit left on the table. The annual Hollywood Innovation and Transformation Summit (HITS) Spring event is the industry’s largest gathering of media and entertainment’s CIOs and top technology minds, bringing together the IT, data, and security communities of the industry.
