Brett Danaher is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Management Science at Chapman University.  His research interests center around how new technologies change the economic principles underlying existing industries.  He currently focuses on the digitization of the entertainment industries and what this means for both firm strategy and for copyright policy in the digital era.  His research has been published in top business and economics journals such as Management Science, Marketing Science, and the Journal of Industrial Economics.  He has been cited extensively in media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and Bloomberg.

Professor Danaher regularly consults for firms in the entertainment industry, helping them to apply new methods in data analytics to optimize their businesses and drive consumer demand for their content.  He has also served as an expert witness in several high profile court cases concerning intellectual property infringement and copyright.

Professor Danaher teaches microeconomics, industrial organization, quantitative methods, and a course on economics and data analytics in the entertainment industries.
