Madeline Mann is the Director of People Operations at Gem, a blockchain technology startup in Venice Beach. She was hired as the first People Operations employee and built all the processes around recruiting, feedback programs, culture initiatives, organizational development, and onboarding.
Additionally, Madeline is the creator of Self Made Millennial YouTube Channel, which gives rapid-fire, battle-tested career and job search advice. Her work has amassed over 3 million views between YouTube, LinkedIn, and Quora, and has been featured by organizations including Business Insider, Ladders, and Breaking into Startups.
Madeline earned her Bachelor’s at UC San Diego, and her Master of Science in Organizational Development from USC, where she now serves on the Board of Directors. Before leading People Operations at Gem, Madeline worked at Scopely on their Human Resources team. In her free time, you can find her playing guitar, board games, and participating in initiatives to get more women in the blockchain industry.
