CPS 2019: Keynoter to Look at Insider Threats

When you think about developing the best security possible for your organization, you’d think you’re No. 1 priority should be technology.

According to Dr. Eric Haseltine, chairman of the board for the U.S. Technology Leadership Council, you’d be wrong.

His morning keynote presentation Dec. 4 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Los Angeles for the 10th annual Content Protection Summit (CPS) — “How to Achieve World Class Security (Hint: It Isn’t Technology)” — will look at the human dimension of security, and argue that no data system will ever be perfect with human behavior presenting the biggest security risk.

A technologist with a storied career covering stints with Hughes Aircraft, Walt Disney Imagineering, the National Security Agency (NSA), and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), Haseltine now specializes in cybersecurity and privacy solutions, and at CPS he’ll share how to deal with insider threats, to make the human side of your organization more secure.

He’ll also emphasize the challenges with organizational behavior, and blind spots in human perception of threats and risks.

The Content Protection Summit is produced by the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) and Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA), and is presented by SHIFT, with sponsorship by IBM Security, NAGRA, Convergent Risks, LiveTiles, Richey May Technology Solutions, EIDR and the Trusted Partner Network (TPN).
