Emmy-nominated and award-winning creative designer and producer of media and technology-driven guest experiences, Brent Young has worked with international destinations including Universal Studios Singapore, Trans Studio Bali, Motion gate Dubai, China’s Chimelong Group, and Movie Park Germany, among others. As a creative technologist, Brent also leads the development of groundbreaking digital and virtual reality tools to create unforgettable guest experiences. These technologies include Geppetto, Super 78’s proprietary, award-winning live character animation and show control system. Geppetto has been entrusted by some of the world’s leading intellectual property owners to bring those characters to life as they’d never been before, including SpongeBob SquarePants, The Smurfs and Shrek’s Donkey. 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, the studio’s most recent Geppetto attraction, was honored with a Producer’s Guild of America nomination for their first-ever “Innovation Award.”Magic Screen, “The Live Interactive Cinema Experience,”is Super 78’s newest Geppetto-powered endeavor developed in partnership with Howie Mandel’s Alevy Productions. With Geppetto, Magic Screen will allow movie audiences to talk directly to the characters on screen, something never accomplished before.Brent’s fascination with technology and his passion for storytelling inspired the development ofMushroom VR,™Super 78’s virtual reality-based pre-visualization system. Mushroom, now a standard creative and production tool for all of the company’s projects, was innovated in 2012to createThe Lost Temple for Movie Park Germany, the first theme park attraction developed in VR.Along with Super 78’s realtime-animation experiences, Brent also oversees the development of highly complex media-based attractions including Flying Theaters (Flying Over Indonesia), Immersion Tunnels (Dinosaur Tram Tour 360°), High Capacity Virtual Reality (HCVR) attractions (Reef Rescue) and more.
