When the annual HITS Spring: The Hollywood Innovation & Technology Summit returns to Los Angeles on May 17, Hollywood A-list creative-futurist and designer, Jeff Julian (“Doctor Strange,” “A Wrinkle in Time”) will be the keynote speaker of the day.
His presentation — “Disruptive by Design – Design Thinking’s Approach to Global Problem-Solving” — will look at the enterprise solutions he’s learned from his work as a member of Steven Spielberg’s team of futurists on the film “Minority Report.” Collaborations with Ridley Scott, the Wachowskis and David Fincher are also found on his resume, and his advice is also formed by his experience developing content and intellectual property for a host of tech companies, including Apple, RED cameras, Samsung and more.
How creative strategies can impact organizational breakdowns and how companies can overcome communication barriers and cross-platform integration will be Julian’s top topics during the presentation. Attendees will learn core strategic ideas used when working with global leaders, international researchers, innovators, and educational institutions on how to nurture creativity to effect change.
Julian will also look at the growing disconnect between creative lateral thinking and the deep dive of basic research, by discussing future design thinking and how to better prepare for the exponential acceleration of a “t-shaped” world, in a future dominated by artificial intelligence.
