Tom Thudiyanplackal is an Indian-American filmmaker with credits including VP (Development and Marketing) for Bollywood blockbusters “3 Idiots” and “Carry On Munna Bhai;” and a Producer for the Emmy-nominated nature documentary “Seed: The Untold Story.”
Tom has traversed several industries and spearheaded creative ventures for Ogilvy Advertising, Reliance Communications, and Vinod Chopra Films in a career spanning over two decades. After moving to the United States, Tom took a hiatus and invested time to develop several feature films and television/web series projects tackling a wide range of subjects and genres with common themes of searching for meaning and love all while co-developing a novel mind-body self-care protocol with his wife as she continues to overcome Multiple Sclerosis (MS) spiritedly.
Tom completed the Summer 2021 Unreal Engine Virtual Production fellowship with Epic Games. In addition to a BS in Physics, he has received formal education in direction and cinematography from Prague Film School.
