May 23 HITS Spring Explores the Pace of Innovation

The pace of the constant innovations and transformations in media and entertainment, across all aspects of content creation and distribution, from advanced workflows to evolving industry technology requirements, can be a challenge for even the most tech-savvy among us.

At the May 23 Hollywood Innovation and Transformation Summit (HITS), at the Culver Theater in Los Angeles, and online via MESA’s virtual platform, the MESAverse, CIOs and the top technology minds in the industry gather to chart the path forward for those charged with keeping up with the latest in IT, data, and security.

Co-located with HITS Spring this year are the EIDR Annual Participant Meeting, the Women in Technology Hollywood afternoon program, and the Language Metadata Table (LMT) group meet-up. Attendees will have four stages of dedicated content to choose from, with 8K, transformation, innovation, and technology themes.

Topics attendees will discuss during the day-long event include:

• “Future of Filmmaking: It is about Making Art, not Technology”
• “Virtual Production: The Next Level”
• “Why Amazon Studios is Moving Productions to the Cloud”
• “The Give and Take of Innovation & Security”
• “Make Space to Lead: Innovating Beyond Busy”
• “Creating Impact-Driven Metaverse Experiences.”
• “Better Data Management to Keep Virtual Productions on Time and on Budget.”
• “Postproduction Workflow: Hybrid Teams and Management.”
• “Navigating Data with the Right Analytics Solutions.”

The annual Hollywood Innovation and Transformation Summit (HITS) Spring event is the industry’s largest gathering of media and entertainment’s CIOs and top technology minds, bringing together the IT, data, and security communities of the industry. Held as a “hybrid” in-person and virtual event, those not in Los Angeles can attend via Zoom or the MESAverse, MESA’s virtual work environment for its members and communities to watch live presentations, network, and step on the stage to share opinions.

The MESAverse uses ICVR’s RendezVu, a proprietary, interactive 3D-world application that will allow for hybrid live and virtual events and regular day-to-day interactions that go far beyond video conferencing.

The Hollywood Innovation and Transformation Summit event is produced by MESA in association with the Hollywood IT Society (HITS) and presented by Amazon Studios, with sponsorship by Fortinet, Genpact, Signiant, Gracenote, Ascendion, Coresite, MicroStrategy, CDSA and EIDR.
