Smart Content Summit Returns — Virtually — March 16

The annual Smart Content Summit returns March 16 — this time as a fully virtual event — bringing together the smartest media and entertainment players in the areas of big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning, automation and blockchain.

What originally began as Metadata Madness — the only gathering of metadata specialists in the industry — quickly evolved into today’s Smart Content Summit, a full-day program dedicated to the evolving technology phases of our industry’s products, productions and processes, and a deep dive into the ways Hollywood and Silicon Valley work together to transform how content is created, how businesses are run, and how consumers are engaged.

Data scientists, content creators, producers, and finance experts will all be on hand to share what they’re up to around making content “smart,” by thinking about the data around content, at every stage, “from inception to infinity.” Previous keynote speakers at the Smart Content Summit have included the founder of Shazam, the CEO ShortsTV, and a government data scientist from the Obama administration.

Along with main stage topics covering our collective data journey, applied data, AI, governance, and the latest stages of digital transformation, top industry vendors will provide attendees with a series of breakout presentations, covering everything from insights and analytics, to the cloud, preservation and production, to distribution, platforms and people.

The Smart Content Summit is produced by MESA and the Smart Content Council, which meets regularly to share best practices, evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate to accelerate the pace of transformation in our industry.
