Robbie Yates has been designing, maintaining and selling data and communication networks for over 25 years. A classically trained guitarist, his career path changed with the explosion of the Internet. During the early days of the ISP Earthlink Network he was hired as a Network Engineer. Since then Robbie has worked for hardware manufacturers, service providers such as United Online/Netzero and two of the largest telecommunications carriers in the industry, Lumen and NTT Communications. His experience in both selling and operating networks gives him a unique ability to understand operational impacts and craft practical solutions. Over the years he has had the privilege to work with companies such as Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, Fastly, Akamai, Disney and Zoom.
Today Robbie is a Sales Engineer at PacketFabric enabling companies to create custom network solutions using PacketFabric’s purpose-built, Network as a Service (NaaS) platform. He resides in Simi Valley, California with his wife of 22 years, their three children, and their dog and cat.
