Stefanie Kleinsmith,
Human-focused Technologist
Stefanie got her start with a filmmaker-focused startup called WithoutABox, through a posting she found on Craigslist (back in the day when it still had actual job opportunities listed). WAB became the first company to be acquired by IMDb. Her role in helping independent filmmakers achieve success influenced her “human-focused” business approach and cemented her passion for creativity in technology.
She got her start at FOX as an early hire in the budding Ad Operations department. Over the next decade, she transitioned to a management role and used her expertise to help build FOX’s first Ad Technology team. As Director of Ad Technology, she developed the department infrastructure and helped grow the team exponentially until Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019. At Disney, Stefanie led the 21CF effort to migrate MVPD integrations. Her adoption of innovative ad-technology-driven practices and processes allowed the effort to be completed in a record-breaking time frame.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Stefanie has produced award-winning creative content and lends her time to organizations such as Read to a Child and WiTH. She also enjoys training her rescue dog, Patty, practicing martial arts and dance, and gardening.
