Complexities of International Content Distribution
September 15, 2017 @ 9:15 am - 11:30 am CEST
Introduction & Background
The sale and distribution of content across international markets is increasingly complex, requiring an in depth understanding of local cultural and distributor wants and needs, rights issues and the challenges of delivering suitable assets, securely and on time.
Technology plays a vital role throughout, and with growing budgetary pressures, reduced timelines to market and an increasingly demanding local audience, content producers and their workflow partners are being encouraged to explore additional areas where automation can yield increased efficiencies, without jeopardising quality.
Enabling a better and broader understanding of the complexities of the international business is one of the priority areas identified by the MESA Europe Content Localisation Council. Keeping a close watch, and providing regular updates on new technologies and processes impacting on the sector is another.
In response to this need, and on the occasion of IBC, Europe’s largest broadcast technology exhibition, we are delighted to offer MESA members, Localisation Council participants and invited guests the opportunity to join us for a breakfast briefing aimed at helping to unravel the intricacies of doing business across national borders and to provide an update on localisation technology developments, industry best practice and compliance.
This highly informative and interactive session will take place in Amsterdam, on the morning of 15th September.
