Coordinator- Content Strategy
Fox Broadcasting Company
The media industry is going through a period of immense consumer driven change as OTT and digital access to TV increases. The Fox Digital Consumer Group (DCG) is a new strategic business unit in Fox’s TV group (FNG). The group’s focus is developing TV & video-centric products bringing Fox’s content to more consumers in new and exciting ways. First, it will be bringing together & furthering the innovation of Fox’s existing TV Everywhere products including FX Now, Fox Now, the Nat Geo TV app and Fox Sports Go. Next, it will be working to develop & bring to market direct to consumer propositions, in the US and internationally.
Within, the digital consumer group the Strategy, Commercial & Marketing team will be responsible for defining the overall strategy, developing the propositions and business cases, working with the product teams to bring products to market and then delivering sales and performance targets.
Responsibilities:
The Coordinator, Content Strategy will be responsible for assisting in content rights management and evaluating strategic options from a rights perspective for the digital consumer group.
- Track and maintain company-wide content rights
- Assisting in the creation of strategies and recommendations to enable content to be packaged into propositions
- Researching ad hoc projects
- Creating strategy presentations for senior management
- Working with Fox’s distribution team to understand and mitigate the impact on existing MVPD deals
- Partner with Manager to engage stakeholders across the business in our plan including networks, distribution, studio, advertising
Qualifications
- Position requires a bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years of experience in the television or film industry a plus
- Fluent in PowerPoint and Excel
- Problem solving skills are necessary
- Requires assertiveness and ability to work independently, excellent organizational and operational skills, and ability to coordinate multiple demands simultaneously under deadline conditions
- Outstanding verbal, written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as great interpersonal skills are required
