Nielsen has an exciting new role as a Data Scientist to join our international team, working with the latest technologies.
In this role, you will autonomously contribute to analyses which address specific client concerns or support the deployments of new solutions. You will work across teams to provide a professional, clear response on all client queries and provide insights which help drive internal decisions based on statistical evidence. You will interact with stakeholders and clients, providing technical and statistical insights into the data. You will act as liaison between all internal teams and the clients to make sure all methodological requirements are addressed.
Job Responsibilities
Plays a key role in analytical projects from beginning to end; including developing analytical plans, running analyses, and summarizing/presenting results to the stakeholders.
Compiling and delivering documentation material for methodology questions and/or frequently asked questions; supporting basic client service duties as needed; participating in team projects and staff meetings.
Uses statistical methodologies to analyze the data and visualization tools to present to the stakeholders.
Collaborates with Methods teams to deploy new methodologies.
Proactively gather information, as needed, to work independently and with a team.
Support in addressing major quality escapes.
Makes sure clients’ methodological requirements are addressed
Role Requirements
Bachelors degree in Statistics, Data Science, Social Science, Operation Research, or other hard sciences (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Physics etc.)
1-3 years experience
Intellectual curiosity and persistence to find answers to questions
Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects in a fast paced business environment
Outstanding analytical expertise
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong statistical, logic and problem solving skills
Exceptional aptitude for data analysis
Accuracy and attention to detail
Eager to continuously learn and adopt changing technologies and tools
Good Python programming skills
Good knowledge of Git
Cloud services experience (AWS)
Good knowledge of Tableau
Fluent in English
