The International Global Clients and Markets team within Data Science’s Audience Measurement organization focuses on supporting Nielsen’s cross-media products in the marketplace and ensures analytical and technical support to the clients, bridging with the stakeholders and other Data Science teams in the organization.
The Northern Europe team is dedicated to leading the Data Science involvement in the BAU tasks and the new implementations and the client engagement support under the Data Science topics.
Primary responsibility is to support Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement Country in Norway.
As a Data Science Leader, you will provide expert technical consultation to solve complex Data Science related issues. You will work across teams to provide a professional, clear response to clients; or develop methodologies to support client needs. Engages in client meetings, and thoughtfully prepares meeting materials and other resources. Proactively anticipates client questions and concerns and prepares in advance. Enable delivery on client commitments.

Job Responsibilities
Performing sampling and weighting according to the defined methodology for surveys.
Making recommendations to improve questionnaire design.
Controlling the quality of the survey database and enhancing the routine of the data checks.
Performing complex analyses to specify panel sample design.
Executes tests on new universes/weighting structures in the test environment
Recommending and implementing quality control and data validation improvement
Analyzing data quality according to defined criteria, defining and performing creative and effective analysis approaches for quality control
Creating dashboards with creative and informative data visualization design
Viewing data and panel measurement analysis
Producing complex trend analyses
Performing listening behavior analysis to detect any abnormality in the trends
Implementing multi-variable statistical models for a deeper understanding of the data
Participates or presents in Client meetings as required
Contributes to the preparation of client-facing materials
Creates regular and ad hoc reports and evolves them in line with Client requirements
Your qualifications / skills
University Degree or Diploma in statistics or sciences (mathematics) or sociology or economy
Previous Data Scientist work experience
Work experience in the area of media research is preferred
A high level of Norwegian is essential
Proficient in English
A solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques used in a market research environment, including complex data approaches such as fusion and modeling techniques
Exceptional computer literate using R and/or Python
Good knowledge of Tableau and/or other visualization dashboard tools
Work experience with Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence is an advantage
Good communication skills
