Data Scientist (Geospatial Engineering)

Our teams work in highly agile working environments for Fortune 1000 clients, following XP practices and best CI/CD practices. We are seeking highly skilled Data Scientists with expertise in building machine learning models for image analytics. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in data science, particularly in the development and deployment of models for analyzing and extracting insights from images.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and objectives for image analytics projects
Collect, preprocess, and clean image data to prepare it for analysis and modeling
Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms for image classification, object detection, segmentation, and other image analytics tasks
Evaluate model performance and iterate on model designs to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
Deploy machine learning models into production environments and integrate them with existing systems or applications
Conduct research and stay updated on advancements in image analytics, machine learning, and related fields
Provide technical guidance and support to team members on image analytics projects
Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, presentations, or visualizations
What You Have
Proven experience in building machine learning models for image analytics applications
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis and modeling
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and image processing techniques
Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and dimensionality reduction techniques for image data
Familiarity with computer vision libraries and tools (e.g., OpenCV, scikit-image) for image processing and analysis
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Effective communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) for scalable image analytics
Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark) for processing large-scale image datasets
Experience with transfer learning, fine-tuning pre-trained models, and model optimization techniques for image analytics tasks
Demonstrated track record of successful projects or publications in the field of image analytics or computer vision
