Director, Brand Initiatives

Summary of Position
The Director, Brand Initiatives will be responsible for building positive brand engagement, awareness and affinity for the company with a focus on STARZ #TakeTheLead. The Director will develop and execute integrated industry and consumer-facing brand initiatives and programs that meaningfully extend #TakeTheLead and increase broad awareness of the STARZ brand. The Director must be a strategic thinker, clear communicator, have strong industry relationships and excel at cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities also include carrying out the functional job tasks associated with the department’s business purpose commensurate with the following responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Drive increased awareness and engagement for the brand and its STARZ #TakeTheLead commitment across a range of audiences (consumer, industry, business, government, employees).
Lead strategic development of #TakeTheLead programming and events including creating, communicating, and executing clear objectives, topics, and partner, participant and audience strategies.
Handle outreach to participants in #TakeTheLead programming and events including on and off-screen talent and their representatives. Experience in talent relations and/or talent booking is required.
Create and present materials (decks, one-sheets, talking points) on STARZ #TakeTheLead for different audiences.
Develop and execute against yearly objectives and strategies that move the brand forward.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and all internal and external stakeholders.
Evaluate DEIA and brand landscape on an ongoing basis.
Successfully drive initiatives forward with operational excellence, efficiency, and collaboration.
Manage budgets and make strategic recommendations on how to deploy resources.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or similar discipline is preferred.
Minimum seven years of relevant experience with at least four years of experience focused on DEIA.
Must have talent relations and/or talent booking skills.
Must have strong industry relationships.
Must excel at strategic thinking and communicating objectives and strategies clearly.
Comfortable presenting to groups of any size and level.
Strong computer skills including Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) are required.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organization, time, and project management skills
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and work proactively in a fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround.
Experience working with high-level executives and maintaining the utmost of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company.
Must work with a focus on details, solutions and results.
Must be able to operate with excellence and do so independently.
