Hulu’s Marketing team is seeking a Director, Marketing Technology who will be an exceptional addition to our Subscriber Growth team. In this role at Hulu, you will define and help implement our marketing technology needs, lead partner management toward execution, and drive collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science. The right person for this role is driven by identifying and working across to teams to develop a Marketing tech stack that can best serve all acquisition and retention efforts.   • Lead the strategy of our Marketing tech stack efforts that will increase the accuracy, velocity and actionability of all subscriber acquisition data.
  • Look for what’s missing in our current digital marketing, and overall advertising efforts that can be fixed through the right Technology; consistently innovate in this space, spearhead identification of problem areas and the right solutions for Hulu
  • Identify, evaluate and select outside partners that can enhance Hulu’s first party data in an effort to create more effective and efficient campaigns.
  • Lead the decision making process across teams related to build or buy decisions
  • Serve as the connection between outside and inside data providers and work across Hulu to define requirements and a roadmap of these efforts
  • Partner with Product Management to develop and continually enhance the right data driven testing strategy for Hulu acquisition efforts
  • Lead the cross-team efforts that will enable automation of digital marketing campaigns across a variety of mobile and social media ad platforms.
  • Serve as the Technical/Product lead on how we best implement and grow effective Programmatic Marketing for Hulu


  • 7-10 years of experience in Advertising Technology (including RTBs, performance based advertising and user acquisition)
  • 7-10 years of AdTech Product Management responsibility
  • Highly knowledgeable of the advertising technology space with proven knowledge of leading and emerging players in the space
  • Highly proficient in campaign automation mechanisms including campaign canvas, emails, landing pages, forms, segmentation, etc. Track record of success for these efforts
  • Experience supporting multi-business unit and leading across teams
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field (or comparable practical experience)
  • Programming experience in one or more general purpose languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python or Go
  • Full stack development experience (backend, web apps to frontend)
  • Experience with multiple database types such as RDBMS, NoSQL or Analytic databases
  • Architecture experience of high throughput services
  • Agile software development


  • Master or PhD in Computer Science or related field
  • Linux / Unix development
  • iOS / Android development
  • Experience with RESTful services
