Director, Mobile & Content Creation Engineering

As the Director of Mobile & Content Creation Engineering, you’ll lead two engineering teams that are tightly coupled to delivering Box’s end user vision. Our Mobile Engineering team owns a suite of best-in-class collaboration iOS & Android applications transforming a traditional workforce to be truly mobile. Our Content Creation Engineering team strives to build the world’s best collaborative note-taking product for the desktop, web and mobile platforms.
As their leader, you’ll drive architectural, product and technological decisions for user-facing features that enable our 40+ million users to collaborate effectively. You can help us reimagine the future of content!

Ramp up on the Box product suite and learn about the business needs of your teams
Become familiar with our front-end web stack (Node.js, React, HTML, CSS) and mobile stacks (iOS/SWIFT & Android/Java)
Begin to build relationships with your managers, leads, and engineers and understand their goals
Within 3 months, you’ll…
Lead the delivery of your first major production feature
Help your team improve their agile execution processes
Hire more epic engineers
Within 6 months, you’ll…
Develop a deep understanding of Box’s long-term business goals and tie in your teams’ objectives & key results
Be a trusted and influential voice beyond the team, communicating effectively with peer engineering groups as well as cross-functional peers in Product, QA, Design and beyond
Develop an ambitious technical roadmap for your teams and align them with your peer engineering teams
Within 12 months, you’ll…
