Freeform is expanding our digital team to accelerate the growth of our digital network and ensure that our rapidly expanding long form content library fully connects with fans across disparate delivery platforms.

We are looking for an accomplished digital professional who is able to create and execute data driven content strategies that tie together our social, linear and on demand audiences. This new role requires a curious person who, like the rest of the Freeform team, is driven by tangible business results. Digital Programming will collaborate across Freeform to deliver a unique ad supported premium content service.

Our new Executive Director of Digital Programming will be fluent in understanding content consumption trends and have a proven track record of growing digital audiences. He/she should also have experience creating original digital content and a strong understanding of the responsibilities across the long form video organization. He/she must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, demonstrating impeccable judgment and social acumen. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working with technical and editorially focused colleagues and is ready to be a leader. The ideal candidate is creative, yet grounded; thoughtful, yet biased towards action. We are looking for someone who dreams big, and doesn’t shy away from the challenges in bringing those dreams to reality.

Responsibilities

  • Drive audience development at Freeform to maximize content consumption and digital distribution programming patterns.
  • Work closely with programming, marketing, product, research, and ad sales, to test and identify new processes that grow audiences and revenue.
  • Partner with the social and paid media teams to develop and operate a complete and instrumented audience funnel.
  • Identify new digital content trends and communicate actionable insights to editorial and product teams
  • Manage and execute on strategies to hit growth and revenue targets

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of digital content development, and managing direct to consumer content distribution channels.
  • Proven track record at developing and executing on digital strategies to grow audiences and deliver on engagement metrics
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to bring entrepreneurial energy to an established organization.
  • Ability to play a key role in organizational change through collaboration and leadership.
  • Dedication to quality content, user experience and respect for audience.
  • Ability to effectively interact with colleagues of all levels.
  • Familiarity with web analytics products
  • Strong analytical and business skills

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
