Executive Director, Sales, Domestic Distribution

Summary of Position

The Executive Director, Sales – Domestic Distribution will work with the sales group to strategize, sell, and negotiate all of Lionsgate’s domestic theatrical releases.
Responsibilities

Weekly negotiation of holdovers
Negotiate & analyze film rental scales
Film Rental settlement for all non-scale engagements
Assist Collection / Financial team with invoicing, cash collection, box office collection, reconciliation; directly handle any issues with owners/payers
Weekly meetings to discuss and review the payment status of every circuit, owner/payer, as well all potential issues with delinquent accounts
Work with Deluxe to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of content and keys – includes sending authorization to release keys on hold for outstanding film rental, box office reports, and/or remittance
Weekly negotiations of film rental advances and guarantees for problem accounts (slow payers, poor credit history)
Weekly theatre checks to ensure in-theatre materials have proper placement and trailers are on screen
Coordinate all premiere, press, promo, and word of mouth screenings in respective division
Liaison with IT to implement a new Tableau Report “Market Analysis” which helps us analyze market data efficiently
Manage our relationship with all special format vendors (DBOX, Dolby, 4DX, MX4D, ETSX & CGS) both internally and externally.
Coordinate all trade screenings in designated markets
Manages our repertory program and theatrical rights within our department

Qualifications and Skills

5 plus years of sales experience in the domestic feature releasing space
Direct experience, cultivated relationships and connections within the exhibition world. This should not be limited to just exhibition chains but vendors in our space (Deluxe, Imoxy, Dbox, etc)
