About the Role…
This is a newly created position within the Finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of creating and shaping the overall FP&A strategy, developing, and implementing a full suite of FP&A activities to support the financial analytical work.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual to join a business, building the foundations to support the significant growth ambitions and be part of forming what the future looks like at FMTS.
As our Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, you will:
Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Controller and support the Executive Team / Board to ensure the business maintains appropriate financial performance metrics
Develop a deep understanding of the core business and key drivers of business performance, allowing appropriate challenge to ensure targets are achieved. This includes ensuring that an optimal balance is made between strategic investment and BAU cost management
Build strong relationships and act as a business partner to the senior leaders across the teams, coaching them to understand the context behind the numbers
Develop all aspects of financial modelling, strategic financial planning, budget cycles and KPI design.
Create dashboard/BI reporting to support cashflow decisions and forecasting
Ensure management / financial reporting is insightful, completed to a high degree of accuracy and in a timely fashion
Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, understand trends across the businesses to develop the optimal presentation of performance
Deliver ad hoc projects and analysis to the CFO / Executive and the Board
Drive appropriate culture and values across the Finance team and the Business
Requirements
You will be set up for success as our Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, if you have:
A recognised professional accountancy qualification, ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification
Experience of developing strategic FP&A activities
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with BI tools such as Power BI
Practical hands-on experience implementing and actioning policy and process
Strong ability to business partner & influence executive stakeholder
Continuous improvement mindset
Nice to haves:
Previous experience working within a Technology business
Ideally you would have studied accountancy, mathematics or economics at University level
