Sales Director
Zixi
Zixi is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, high EQ candidate to be a Sales Director in Atlanta. Your primary responsibilities will be to drive revenue growth by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, developing new business opportunities, and serving as trusted advisor to the customer. They will be a key point of contact between the customer and the various departments within Zixi to ensure high customer satisfaction, encourage continued long-term relationships and grow Zixi’s revenue in the named accounts. This team member will be a part of Zixi’s collaborative, growth minded, ‘win-the-day’ sales team and culture.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy and plan for your territory, aligning with the overall company goals and objectives. Identify key market segments, generate leads, create opportunities, target customers, and prioritize sales activities accordingly.
Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand customer base, and maximize sales potential with existing accounts. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure a steady flow of opportunities.
Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their business needs, and providing tailored solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and product development to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
Market Analysis: Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics and competitive landscape. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities, customers’ needs and potential areas for growth.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Monitor and analyze data, prepare regular sales reports, and provide accurate revenue forecasts. Monitor sales performance, analyze key metrics, and generate reports to evaluate progress, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions. Provide regular updates to senior management on weekly sales activities, meetings, customer touch points, revenue forecasts, and market trends.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams (especially with your Solutions Engineer), including marketing, product, support, and engineering to align sales efforts with overall company objectives. Communicate market feedback, customer requirements and competitive insights to relevant stakeholders. Participate in industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to represent Zixi and build brand awareness. Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the organization. Document customer meetings and insights from customers and share with Field Team management.
Qualifications, Experience and Education:
5+ years of enterprise sales experience in Video Streaming, Online-Video Production, OTT, Analytics, Cloud, SaaS, PaaS, Carrier, Security, Networking, IoT or related.
Strong knowledge of live video workflows for media and broadcast companies including live linear channel, live event contribution, and OTT delivery using cloud-based services for content ingest, transcoding, repackaging and delivery is required.
Domain expertise in Broadcast and IP networks and considerable Linux, Windows and Networking hands-on experience would be a value add.
Strong knowledge of video delivery, network infrastructure, internet, CDN, mobile computing, cloud services, security, and virtualization.
Bachelor’s Degree and/or master’s degree in business or technology or another related field is desired, but not essential.
Proven track record of growing sales quotas consistently.
Sound judgment and decision-making skills when handling customer scenarios.
Ability to work and execute independently while collaborating with functional global teams.
Being proactive, confident, and an entrepreneurial self-starter.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess formal sales training in solution selling and/or value while successfully executing complex sales cycles with Chief Revenue Officer.
Experience with cloud software deployments and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc)
Strong experience and knowledge of managing sales pipeline in SalesForce and Microsoft 360 (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OneDrive).
